Backdoor Bread:
A Whole Grain Project

Exclusively available at
Pawtucket Wintertime Farmers’ Market
Saturdays 9am–1pm
Located at the Hope Artiste Village
1005 Main Street, Pawtucket

Backdoor Bread is whole grain project using regionally-sourced, 100% organic whole grains. Jim Williams, co-owner of Seven Stars Bakery, is getting involved in a whole grain movement in the U.S., sourcing and supporting farmers who are growing long forgotten varieties of wheat. With our stone mill, Jim is milling and testing different techniques to create delicious, healthy and nutrition packed breads. Breads are exclusively available on Saturdays in Pawtucket during the market.

Our Baking Process

All of our breads are made with four basic ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast or sourdough starter. To those ingredients we add nuts, raisins, cheese, olives—but never preservatives.
