Backdoor Bread:
A Whole Grain Project

This Summer, exclusively available at
Hope Street Farmers’ Market
Wednesdays 3:00 – 6:00pm
Located at Lippitt Park in Providence

Backdoor Bread is whole grain project using regionally-sourced, 100% organic whole grains. Jim Williams, co-owner of Seven Stars Bakery, is getting involved in a whole grain movement in the U.S., sourcing and supporting farmers who are growing long forgotten varieties of wheat. With our stone mill, Jim is milling and testing different techniques to create delicious, healthy and nutrition packed breads. Breads are exclusively available on Wednesdays at the Hope Street Farmers’ Market 3-6pm.

Our Baking Process

All of our breads are made with four basic ingredients: flour, water, salt and yeast or sourdough starter. To those ingredients we add nuts, raisins, cheese, olives—but never preservatives.
